Sunways is a modern technology manufacturer, founded in Konstanz, Germany in 1993. It specializes in the development, production and distribution of components for photovoltaic systems, including inverters for grid-connected PV systems and energy storage systems in residential, commercial and industrial projects. The manufacturer also offers communication solutions, accessories and applications for monitoring and managing PV systems.

Since its inception, Sunways has focused on the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources such as wind and sun. Convinced of this inevitable trend, the manufacturer created a series of technically advanced solar solutions, including grid-tie and hybrid inverters, dominating the solar industry in the 1990s and early 2000s.

In 2018, Sunways received reinvestment from the Puze Group, which led to the establishment of Ningbo Sunways Technologies Co., Ltd. This allowed for increased resources for investment in R&D, production, marketing and supply chain, resulting in significant improvements. The R&D team was strengthened, production capacity was optimized, supply chain was stabilized and sales and marketing teams were globalized.

Sunways is headquartered and has a manufacturing base in Ningbo, China, with operations conducted from centers in Munich, Germany and Wuxi, China. The globalization of business has covered more than 60 countries, including Europe, South America, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. The European market accounts for 60% to 70% of the company’s total volume and value.

Sunways focuses on providing reliable and advanced solar solutions, ensuring cost-effectiveness. The CBB (common building block) product design concept, widely used in hardware design and software control, allows for a quick response to new technologies. The manufacturer always remains at the forefront of new product development and updates.

Sunways offers grid-tied inverters with a capacity of 1 to 125 kW for residential, commercial, industrial and ground projects. It provides energy storage solutions with capacities from 3 to 12 kW, for both new installations and renovations in the residential and commercial sectors. Accessories and applications for monitoring and management support a new paradigm of energy applications, called Energy Connects All.
